In Review: Sister's Keeper Products

Hey Bellas. This review is such a long time coming.
On 2/8/13, I received a sweet package full of goodies from Sisters Keeper. I received the Sunburst Shampoo and Body Bar, Happy Hair Leave In Conditioner, DIP Hair and Body Moisturizer, Exfoliating Brown Sugar Body Scrub,  and the Coco Body Mousse.

First. let me start by saying the smells of these products is EXQUISITE. Now most of you all know that I have a big nose. Most of you don't know how much I absolutely hate it. But let me tell you that when these products arrived that had to be the ONE DAY I was actually HAPPY to have a big nose. That is how good these products smell.

I will let these pictures speak for themselves!!!

Check out this beautiful packaging

I twisted my hair with the DIP Hair and Body Moisturizer after using the Happy Hair Leave in Conditioner. Smells so yummy. Look how shiny and supple those twists look!!!

I was feeling my self just a little too much.  Only a little too much, LOL!!!

After the twists were removed, check out my GORGEOUS twist out

Take a look at the other side of the head

Did I mention how good these products smell?  As you can see, the products yielded great results from my hair. I will have some more reviews coming on the other products I have received. I haven't used the shampoo bar yet and I am so looking forward to it.

This week at Walgreens

Yesterday I paid a visit to Walgreen's and here is what I got

Transaction 1
Crest Pro Health Rinse 2 for $6 (buy 2 get 4,000 reward points. Equivalent to $4)

Transaction 2
Crest Pro Health Toothpaste 2 for $6 (buy 2 get 4,000 reward points. Equivalent to $4)

I used the following coupons:
(1) $1.50 off Pro Health Rinse (I couldn't find my second coupon)
(2) $1 off Pro Health Toothpaste

*All coupons were from the April P&G Insert*

I paid $4.50 ($6-$1.50) for the rinse and $4($6-$2) for the toothpaste.
Total paid $8.50 out of pocket, but I received 8,000 points ($8) (4,000 for each transaction) so I basically paid $.50

Yay.

A week of savings

I have been doing a lot of couponing this week.  Before this week I had been slacking on my couponing and I guess this week has begun to more than make up for it. I posted some pics of some deals I did this week. I wanted to share with you a receipt ans some pics of some of the other deals that I have done this week

Here is a receipt for a set of king sheets that I purchased from Kohl's on Sunday.

Today, I purchased these items from CVS (toothpaste) & Walgreen's (Scrubbing Bubbles) for a total of $2

I purchased these jars of sauce from HEB for a total of $2.97

I love couponing. I will be doing some more shopping tomorrow as I have a 20% off coupon at CVS and a $4 off of 20 purchase so if I keep my total to $20, with both coupons that will bring my total to $12 and if my purchase includes items that I have coupons for then my total will be even less than that. So I will be on the lookout for the best items to get.

I also have a coupon to redeem at Victoria's Secret and I also have a $5 off of $25 at Dollar General.

I will be sure to post the details.
If you have some deals to share, please share them by sending the details and the pictures to crystalscurls@gmail.com

Be blessed!!!!

Today's Shopping Trip to Kohls

So, I JUST snagged a SUPER deal at Kohl's. I was in the store on Sunday trying to get this comforter set but they were out.  I called to make sure they had it in stock (since they get a truck every Monday) and I struck gold. (or silver in my case)

My husband just upgraded us to a king size bed which required me to get a new set of sheets and a new bedspread.

So check out my deal below.  I saved $478.80

Jennifer Lopez Old Hollywood Comforter Set, Regular Price, $459.99, Sale Price $137.99

Jennifer Lopez Old Hollywood Sheet Set, Regular Price $169.99, Sale Price $50.99

The receipt speaks for itself.  I got 20% off and I earned $30 in Kohl's Cash (earn $10 for every $50 spent)

So my total is $163.65 - $30 Kohl's cash equals $130.65.  I am so happy about this purchase. I get some of my best deals at Kohl's.  On top of the deals, they have the BEST customer service. I can redeem my Kohl's cash starting tomorrow.

(2) Neutrogena Naturals Makeup Removing Cleaner

Total Sales Prices $19
Total I Paid Out of Pocket $5
I saved $22.75

From Walgreens:
(2) Wal-Zyr (generic Zyrtec) $13.49 Buy One Get One Free
(2)Nivea Bodywash
(3) Boxes of Kellogg’s Cereal
(3) Aquafresh Toothpastes
(3) Dawn Dish Liquid
Total Retail $58.47
Total Sales Prices $38.40
Total I paid out of pocket $26.90
I earned 3,000 points for the Zyrtec
I saved $31.57

My total paid today at both stores $31.90
I saved $54.32 on the entire trip.

*I used coupons for every item I purchased EXCEPT for the Wal-Zyr as there was not a coupon available for that item*

I paid more than I would have liked for the Walgreen’s trip. But I am pleased because the allergy medicine is so expensive and my girls need it everyday and I got one for free.   (I had some points at Walgreens that I could have used to make my out of Pocket Expense less but I am trying to let my point accumulate for when I need lots of things that a coupon is not available for.)

Now Featuring LaQuashja

This week we are featuring LaQuashja. I haven't done a feature in a while and I am so happy to be doing one again.  Her hair is gorgeous and she just chopped AGAIN.  All that hair GONE!!!! Check out her story below!! Enjoy.

Name and where are you from:
LaQuashja Lowden, from Queens, NY, but currently residing in Harrisburg, PA.

When Did you go Natural?
I went natural August of 2005, slowly transitioning.

What prompted you to go natural?
For a long time, I didn't embrace or appreciate my natural curl, but I got tired of relaxing it. My hair was breaking off, and it was very limp and unhealthy. I decided to speed up the process with a big chop in May of 2006. I actually just big chopped again in January of this year, just because I wanted a change.

What is your regimen?
I've used many products over the years, so I don't have one particular regimen. For the past few months, I've been using Olive Oil shampoo and conditioner. I shampoo my scalp once every 2 weeks, and I cowash once a week. I use Cantu Shea Butter leave in conditioner after each cowash, and I finish with Taliah Waajid Curl Sealer. Now that my hair is short, the process is quick and easy!

What is your favorite thing about being natural?
My favorite thing about being natural is the fact that I feel so free! I'm not tied down to getting my hair done every week. I can wash and go in less than 30 minutes. Plus, people love to touch my hair, and I get more compliments on my natural hair than I ever did with relaxed hair.

Who is your celebrity hair crush?
My celebrity hair crush has to be Solange. She's one of the few natural celebrities who showed us that having hair didn't define her, and her hair is always so gorgeous!

Who is your regular hair crush?
I don't necessarily have a regular hair crush; I just love to see any person who can have natural hair, and rock it to the fullest.

Where can you be found on social media?
I can be found on Facebook by my name, LaQuashja Lowden, Instagram as quayjl, and Twitter as MrsJLLuv

LaQuashja, you are so beautiful and so is your hair. Thanks for letting me feature you!!!

If you would like to be featured on CCQ send an email to crystalscurls@gmail.com answering the above questions.
